318 DQ's

I would not spend money on cutting the deck of the block unless you are squaring the deck......alot fast cars out there with cast cranks

I would use a smaller cam in a 318...but advancing it will help....and if you are advancing it 8 degrees or so...check you intake valve to piston clearance..
