Yep, she is a slant. And ya know... I have no idea about the heat tube. I will have to look, but I doubt it.

A properly operating choke is VERY important.. And if you can make a preheat tube to the air cleaner function, you might find it bearable... But I've found my slanty is still a bit cold natured..
