Sweet. Here's the sad part... Indiana just passed a law last year that stops the turning of the meter backwards. So once your production equals your usage, there's no credit or storing it. Also, all solar/wind systems must now have an anti-backfeed system that prevents power from feeding the grid line if the grid loses power. They had several linemen get killed last year due to that they claimed.
The last part is true in CA as well. All I do if/when the power goes off, I use my 2K Honda gen to supply power to the panels making them think they are still connected to the grid. Runs everything that way.
