6.1 Hemi into 72 Demon March 2018

So I decided to head to the shop this afternoon as playoff hockey is kind of in a window of no games. And yes my family lives breathes and dies hockey! I have captained a team for a great many years and still play. I have ran my own drop in for longer than I can remember and if you don't know what a drop in is I am not going to explain!
You have not lived until you have had a couple of Junior boys hockey players at your table! They will eat you out of house and home! And yes Winnipeg is the nearest big city, go Jets! Preds are going down! And as always this year heartfelt prayers to Humbolt.
So back to A body stuff, I started prepping for my Shock tower strut supports. And before I get flamed into oblivion yet again I fully understand there are two passionate camps with regard for the need of strut supports. I am going with no torsion bars and a tubular K frame. I feel regardless of need they cannot hurt and very well may be invaluable. A literal no lose situation, I am simply out some labor and material. I love to weld so why not!
You can see the pictures of the firewall landing pad for the tube and I included some pictures of my cardboard template for the frame landing portion. Cardboard is invaluable for mocking up metal components. I also took a picture of my new TTI headers. While they are pricey nothing on earth makes you feel 15 again like a new set of headers. It is like Christmas I don't care how old you are it throws you back to being a teenager building your first hot rod!
My best friend and I made a deal with our dads to purchase a old ford cougar from the junk yard for 75 bucks when we were 14 years old provided we promised not to drive it until we got it running and we're licensed. Yep we wrapped it around a pole long before we were 16! If you are reading this you all have similiar stories as we are all gear heads! Unwrapping new headers is like candy!
