Stop in for a cup of coffee
So yesterday at work, I challenged the head of clinical on his clinical supply plan that included an automatic 20% overage for all supplies. I told him in front of the senior staff that it just didn’t make sense and he needed to rework his contingency plan to be more realistic.
He came back today with a new plan that made it a 40% overage. :BangHead:
So I walked him through where all his assumptions were wrong and asked to do it again. This time became back with a 30% overage. :BangHead::BangHead:
I finally took over the evaluation and told him what the new plan was. He went and got confirmation from everyone in the supply chain that it made sense and would work.
The overage is now down to 7% and the cost savings is 15% across the supply chain due to the reduced number of units required...$1.3 million saved.
