It’s all rebuilt now and the rust is gone...and it sits in my driveway now courtesy of @Mopar Tim. But he put a helluva a lot of time and money into getting it that way.
I agree it is definitely something to watch out for but it is not out of the question to find a car this age and this condition with minimal surface rust. Coastal cars seem to get a lot more rust than desert cars for obvious reasons. I wouldn’t make an offer with out first going over the car. The car would be for my wife. I offered her my 67 Dart but she says it is my car and wants one that I haven’t owned longer than I have been with her lol.
