Yeah, they were badasses.
I watched a couple of hours of "Vietnam in HD" today. Damn, now I know why I had nightmares when I was 4-5 years old. I was born in 1963 and would have probably seen some of that on TV news then.
I was in the Army and Air Force but fortunately never made it into combat. Anyone who serves in combat has my utmost respect.
