1990 ryder box van
One of my mopar buddies got in touch with me to remind me of the rickreal swap meet coming this Sunday. As we were talking about it, he mentioned that he has this buddy that is looking to get rid of a 1990 ryder box van with what he thinks is a 16' cab over style box 460 ford with automatic transmission. Said it is a running vehicle but needs a new gas tank out in. Said it was his brother's rig, but had passed away and it couldn't stay where it was anymore. Asked if I knew anyone interested in one. I have always wanted one to haul hay in the rainy season, swap meet set ups, toys, etc. Then he springs on me that it's free, I just have to move it 8 miles to get it home. So, I've got a tow company to meet me there on Tuesday to grab it up. I was thinking of it turns out to be a heap I could pop the box off and use it for storage, machine shop or whatever. Then my brother in law said, why not pop the back off and make a ramp truck. What do you guys think? Use it as intended, or make a storage out of the box and ramp truck the rest? I know its a van cab front so it would need closed off or a truck cab put on.
