1972 Canadian H-Code 340 Dart Swinger Special Resto - Finally started!
Forgot to mention, I can't remember the last time I see this! And the ironic thing is Accurate Exhaust won't ship their exhaust systems into Canada, lol.
Tackled my front seat today, it's not the original seat to my car I thru that out in the 80's (dummy) this one is a little bit scruffy but a bit of elbow grease and some tremclad and will look pretty nice.
Did the seat backs first, its a wrestling match and it doesn't hurt to have gorilla grip when doing upholstery which I no longer have but it was a hot sunny day and that helped make the covers easier to slide on.
blasted the tracks and just gave the seat frame a good scuffing where I could with a red scotch bride pad and degrease then some SprayMax Satin on the tracks and some tremclad for the seat frame,
Unfortunately I was under the impression the seat foam was like the seat back foam in that it was moulded to shape so I bought a piece to splice in but it turns out they just used a slab of flat foam and wrap it around the frame. I'll have to make a trip back to the foam shop since it makes sense to replace the whole thing.
