Evening folks. Rough day today, had to sign off on hospice care for my Dad.
This could last days or months, nobody knows. He will either go quickly by aspirating his liquid food or they take him off all food and water and he dies slowly. We don’t decide which, it’s about how long he can keep the little bit of ability to swallow he still has.
He has a no-pain DNR in his living will so all we can do is keep him comfortable with pain meds.
He just turned 82 a few days ago.
