Aw man we're getting on; I remember when that song came out! I miss those days mightily.
Hyup, in our class of 69 school-pics there's a lotta, lotta very long legs showing and the boys all got long hair a-flowing. We were "in" back then, but it looks a little crazy today.
I turned 16 that summer, and I got me a drivers license, whoot! I was one of the older boys in class,,my mother having kept me back a year, due to having to walk nearly three miles to school. And so I was one of the first in my grade to actually own a car. I suddenly had a lotta friends. You know, you can put a lotta kids into a 57 Belaire! I was so cool, lol. I spent the spring or summer of 69 "rebuilding" that oil-burning 283. I learned a bit about oilcans too. Up here the gas was I think about 37cents a gallonImp so about 29USg.But that mightabin 1970. Cuz those years our money was pretty close to even.
Yeah I remember those good times and my grandkids love listening to my stories. Hard for them to believe how electronics have changed and don't believe me about party lines on phones. lol
