aftermarket shifter in factory console

Only 1 problem i can see with install. A&B shifters the upper linkage attaches on the passenger side of the stock shifter. If you can modify a B&M or Hurst to hook up to the modified stock linkage on the passenger side it would work great. I am thinking the modded shifter setup with stock linkages posted here was a 71 up B or 70 up E body because of the upper pivot bracket and linkage end. Which i cant understand why they would do that to a 70 up E body or 71 up B body when the stock T handle shifter is a ratchet shifter from the factory. It was called a slap stik. Waaay easy to operate, press button, drop it into low. Every gear after that you smack it forward. Hence the name "slap stik". Will only hit 1 gear at a time, will not go past into neutral unless you press the button when moving it.
Okay now I see what you're saying it does look like the upper rod bend's around to the passenger side. Looks like it's an easy fix according to this. At at least for a quicksilver. Just a custom upper Rod and clamp on arm connected to the driver side of the shifter.
