Tonight's old Movie (eGag VHS) "Strategic Air Command", Jimmy Stewart

My mom actually met him back in the 60s. She worked for the commander of the AF Hospital at Travis AFB. Jimmy, a Reserve BG at the time flew into Travis on board a B52 on its way to Guam. Needless to say, the hospital flight surgeon got word that he was overdue his flight physical so he grounded him. Well, that got a visit to the commander. She said he was absolutely pissed. Once he finished with the meeting with the commander he immediately started his physical. My mom said the issue went all the way up to General LeMay who was the commander of SAC. My mom said they chatted for 30 minutes about movies and family. She said he was a very soft spoken man, except when he’s pissed.

On another note she went to HS with Aldo Ray. He played the SF MSG in the movie “The Green Beret”
