For the record, looking at a build date absolutely does not determine model year.
Just because a car was built in August of a year doesn't mean it was the next model year newer.
Best example I can give is the Dodge Neon. Production began Nov 1993, they were launched Feb 1994 for the 1995 model year.
Can't tell you how many people have given me a wrong model year because they looked at a build date.
Might as well look at the date in the tail lamps.
