Do you have an overflow catch reservoir?
I noticed with the old 65, there is no recovery tank. It would puke out the hose along the side of the radiator out on the ground. I found myself having to add coolant all the time or it would get hot. Ordered a 92 Dodge Dakota recovery jug and made a bracket and it fits like it is a stock set up along the left of the radiator, in front of the battery tray.
No more overheating and no more having to add water.
