looking for shoulder belt attachment location
I looked through this post and those linked to it. The photos are great but I am still at a loss as to where to install the shoulder belt top mounts in my 1968 Barracuda notchback. The photo below does not match any of what I have seen here.
The front and rear window interface is clearly visible and I have noted the coat hook. My first inclination is to use the open space where the green rectangle is located as it should be easy to make a steel rectangle and mount the 7/16" nut behind it. It should then just be a matter of using a mounting bolt to install and rotate it 90 degrees for welding.
The second thought was to cut a round hole where the yellow rectangle is located and use some of the techniques previously suggested to mount the nut. A photo of a stock mounting location has the threaded factory hole forward of the coat hook.
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
