Hi Fred...the first thing I would check is if it is free to turn over with a crank or a Johnson bar and socket on the crankshaft. If it moves then great. Change the oil and keep cranking it so hopefully the oil pump or the splash system with coat the inside of the motor. Put some gas down the carb and stand back lol. Good luck. You may land up with a large muscular arm on the one side though lol. If the starter is still good then use it but remember it's a 6 volt system.
The wiring is still new in the box so I will have to wire it up before I can crank it over.
Tried to turn it over by hand using the fan blade but no luck. My son has more parts to bring over including the hand crank. I'm heading to town to get some oil I would think straight 30 wt. would be ok.
