Got a technical question. hy did Mopar offset their motors back in the 70's?
Hey Mark what I have heard it was done for a lot of reasons. More clearance for the steering box, starter and exhaust , helps to counteract torque steer. Even TTI's website has measurement for offset , from the center of the crankshaft to the top of the k-frame the correct distance is 5-1/4 .
