shots from the garage...
and here it is.... coming up on September. Been on jackstands for 5 mos.
I removed the 4150 intake and have the intentions of installing another 598 intake off of the “core” W8 mill I have. The top on that one has been modded for a dominator. All sounds easy EXCEPT that I have to make intake gaskets, and possibly some spacers to get it to fit along with some grinding on the ports to get it to somewhat match the heads. Dragging my feet on this.... I long for the day where I could just order something!
The steering column.... I’m sure some of you have seen the Twisted Metals column on FB. 14lb lighter and with some trials and tribulations, I got it to fit the car where I wanted it. Unfortunately this required a bit more fabrication than I expected, but it’s good to have friends that can weld aluminum. The Harbor Freight band saw came in real handy to shorten the column by 3” and the bearing was easily removed and pressed into the housing. Looks really nice in the car. Now if I just had the ambition to cut the dash out and install the fiberglass one I have.... another time.
