Yup. 7 vs. 3. That said, if all 7 are really well made connections with good contact, that could be better than 3 with one that has poor contact. So that alone doesn't make the MAD redesign worse.

Winner, Winner. That's my point. All of the current must flow through the 14 gage fusible link. All of the current to run the car (that is everything except the amount drawn by the battery for recharging) goes through the 16 gage fusible link.
Chrysler's design avoids this choke point.

It's kindof redundent. it may carry some power in parallel to the black one. Whether its helpful is rather dubious.

No sign of ammeter hooked in to the mad B?
And lets compare with power from the alternator to the main junction with the original Chrysler arrangement. Does your finger cross the ammeter?
I hope not. It's not involved in the normal supply of power to run the car.

As DDaddy mentioned, in the Chrysler design your finger only crosses the ammeter after the main junction and only if you want to follow the path of current flowing to the battery. In other words when its recharging.
