Transgo tf-3 and kickdown

Does the #3 kit provide a new TP valve and stiffer spring? Or ask you to grind one end of the valve off.
For a streeter, I never liked the #3. It was fun at first........ but got old pretty quick. The 2800TC on the other hand, that was nice.
