Stop in for a cup of coffee

The Nova had the upper nuts for the rear shocks welded in and they would rust out and go bad... Then you would have to have new ones welded in.... When I did suspension work in a garage, I had three of them to work on and they all had the rusted nuts... We had to send them to the welding shop to get them repaired before we could install new shocks...
I must have been lucky! I don't remember anything that bad with the shocks. Removing the rear springs - that was a learning experience! Ugh. My first time replacing leafs and what I mostly remember was fighting the bolts at front eyes and the shackles trying to press them out of the rubber bushings.
