Stop in for a cup of coffee

My CEO from my last company owned the James and Dolly Madison house in Philly. He did an incredible job restoring, preserving and maintaining the house before he sold it in 2016.

James and Dolley Madison House Lists for $3.2M

The first time I visited the place I literally cried over the beauty of what had been done...and my own failure to save a grand old house that would have been similarly impressive. My wife had the same response. My CEO even had a large banquet table in the large dining room made from alabaster and lit from below making it glow warmly.

It’s part of the reason my wife and I never took on another restoration even though we both love the grand old houses deeply.
I'm sure you know how they can be major commitments, whether its major restoration or remodel. I'm sure you did what seemed right for yourselves at the time. And a big house like that, more than most today could put to use unless you could also have business that needs such space, or extended family.

I've been very cautious, probably too cautious, on making a move. There was a property in Malvern that probably would have worked out well with two dwellings - one rentable, shop and garage in the out buildings.
