Stop in for a cup of coffee

Lol gave up on it and un subscribed. Bet it gets over 100 opinions I mean posts.
Hey Mike. I'll be more carefull with any X in the future. That was past my bedtime. That thread's gone to hell anyway. Poor guy just wanted to know some history... LOL.

We should start a thread on alternator theory. I'll need some help on that.
I think it works like this.
Alternator output equals demand. That I'm sure of.
Both lights and motors try to draw a certain amount of power.
But if the voltage drops at the light or motor, they still try to pull the same amount of power, and current demand goes up.
^ That's what I'm not as sure of.
If so, then we can apply Power = current x voltage.
No harm, I deleted my post anyway. It didn't make as much sense as I thought it did when I wrote it. I think the op was having issues and thought they could be corrected with a volt meter but he really didn't say that. I hate reading between the lines and making assumptions. Many open a thread and then disappear from the site and the problem solvers here are left to our own imaginations. I ask a lot of simple questions right off the bat to get things going in the right direction. As you well know these threads can go sideways in a real hurry.
