Stop in for a cup of coffee

I would not assume gouging without more information. A 50 cent change can easily be attributed to infrastructure costs that have raised the price. Local distribution truck shortages, OT for drivers and plant personnel, etc. Short lead demand is called “spot market” and the prices fluctuate wildly.

When I used to help run my friends Sunoco station, this kinda stuff would happen all the time. And the customers would yell at us like we were thieves. We never made any more or less profit ever, it all floated on the price we got it for.

We did our best to make fuel available during high demand times, but it cost more to get it. We just passed the costs along.
