Hi Guys,
I did a cross country road trip this summer and found something cool at an antique mall in Ohio. Since I am restoring a 65 Barracuda myself, I had to buy it. Hemi Under Glass, for you that don't know, was a "wheelie car" that was owned and driven by Bob Riggle starting in the late 60's. This was one of a number of wheelie cars that made their way around the drag racing circuit for many many years. A really historic vehicle! Riggle got older (just like the rest of us) and finally retired the car. Jay Leno wanted to feature the car on an episode of "Jay Leno's Garage". Jay said that this was one of his all time favorite cars that inspired his love of cars since he was a kid. Riggle brought the car out of retirement and actually agreed to take Jay for a run down the track in the car! They crashed and rolled the car!!! Safety systems worked like they should and everyone walked away fine. This is a very detailed model of that car with Bob Riggle's signature on the roof. I'm happy to own it and share this story with my Mopar brothers.
