you can pull the shafts and eyeball what valves are sunk, but that assumes the seats are not sunk either. Good find on the valve. Sometimes intakes get coked and they dont close properly. Seafoam would have probably cleaned that. Exhaust valves get burned and sometimes gouge at the rim in extreme cases. With the heads off, start pulling valves and checking. Not difficult with some direction or at least some advice. I made a seat "scraper" with an old valve and a carbide cutting tool tip, I tack welded it in a cut slot at 45 degrees and could use it to cut or at least scratch the valve seat clean using a drill. very slight chatter
