Recommendations led shop lights
At the machine shop where I work we have been slowly replacing all of our old fluorescent 8ft T8 style shop lights with multiple FEIT Electric brand 4 ft led shop lights that the boss has been buying from Costco. It took about a day to get used to the light that comes out of the light and the slight glare it produces on the metal but we definitely have more light now. The machines that had one 8 foot light dedicated to it only need one 4 ft light now. And in areas where we had two 8 ft shop lights to cover larger areas, we now only need three 4 ft lights positioned a little differently. The best part is that they are able to be "piggybacked" to one another (connect a string of lights together) making them easier to hook up. The first ones only went up about a year or so ago so I can't talk about how long they will last, but they sure do look good. I would recommend checking the mounting points as el5dart said earlier, we weren't too happy about ours because it came with metal cables that mounted into plastic holes so we mounted directly to the metal housing which was pretty easy. Another thing I've noticed is some have chains that come down to turn them off and on, and others have motion detectors so they can turn off automatically, you should make a choice on which style you want.
