Best suspension for new restoration??
Plenty. The two that immediately come to mind, one was an A arm breaking and the other was the K itself coming apart at a weld.
But with you saying there's a design flaw with the lower arm bolts, but you made your own and fixed it, that shouldn't have to be done with the money spent on such an item. That's still poor design and poor quality if a customer has to design and build something to FIX the brand new product.
I have built 5 hot rods, never built one that I didn`t have to massage aftermarket parts for, two hemi cars, 2 600 horse sbc`s, and this 68 fastback.
The money spent on "such an item", was $1900 shipped, slightly used (supposedly 9 runs ), was very tite and new..
Dam near cost that to rebuild a stock front 50 yr old suspension.
Came w/ disc brakes , everything but the brake lines, which I installed braided.
my car is pretty stiff and doesn`t flex much .
Like I said, I do keep an eye on it--------------
Lot of bad mouthing as usuall by people that cant fix anything ,never used a product, and just bolt stuff on. I didn`t say it was the best out there to start with------------
