Cage paint and rust repair!

I've got some down time while I wait for my custom axles so I figured I'd wrap up some loose ends on the car.
I already had most of the aluminum interior out to do the mini tubs. My cage was starting to get kinda rusty so I decided to paint it.

I used rustiolem "hammertone" silver brush on paint. I am so happy with this paint. I did almost no prep and just blasted it on the cage. Lots of runs and right over more rust than I'd like to admit.

It came out looking dam good in my opinion.

In fact I was so happy I decided to tackle the floor.

I took the big wire wheel and went to town. After removing the rust and paint here's the result.

I been dreading this repair for years, I just cover it with a floor mat and out of site out of mind ya know? I figure I cant just paint over this so..... I drug out the English wheel and figured now is as good a time as any to get some practice on this beotch....

I was very worried that I may just be ordering a passenger floor pan from AMD but once started there's no going back!
