Battery cables -where does the negative go?

Strange looking cables. I have never noticed that style on a Mopar before. I thought because it was a Hot Rod article it might be a California build. Now I need to look other magazine articles and photos. My 66 Dart gas the original positive cable and it doesn't look like that one. Interesting.

Toolman Mike- I bought the new cable set from a place in CA that just re-pops battery cables. A positive and neg cable set was like $240. Really nice set, about as OEM as I could find. And I do agree the picture of the factory neg battery side end looks like a foreign car of that era.
I just appreciate the information.
