HyRev 7500 ECU box

Yes, and I do not know how to explain it any better. All but the gold box retards timing at high RPM. That hasn't a thing to do with "how hot" the spark is. The reason for it is so that timing will not advance too far resulting in detonation at high RPM. But, as I said in my earlier post, if you run race gas, or have a low enough compression, the retard feature is not needed.
Now that you have explain that, tell me how come I can put a timing light on my motor and run it to 7500 RPM with a chrome box and the timing never changes? My timing is set at full mechanical advance. You said it will retard timing, When will it, what RPM?
Mopar design the magnetic impulse ignition systems for less frequent tune ups, increase secondary voltage, improve starting, eliminate irregular timing and dwell change with engine speeds. Not retard timing.
