Small block oil filter question

-
What about the mopar filters inside?? Are they any good?

I personally have not cut one up in a while. They meet warranty requirements but on my Cummins in my 3500 I run Napa gold. The factory filter is made by a different company than the gas engine oil filters.

Mopar filter review:

Keep in mind that many filters are manufactured by another company and re-badged to whatever brand. So the filter they cut might be made by a higher end manufacturer and another Mopar filter with a different part number could be made by a different manufacturer. Not saying that is the case, because I don't know, but it is a possibility.

Napa Gold filters are made by Wix. just drop the first number off of the Wix number and you've got the Napa Gold number.

Just go to the hardware store and buy some flex seal and spray the bottoms of your new filters. You will feel better changing oil. Lol!
It’s okay - it’s called learning. Now you know.
Funny- one day yers ago I did not even know how to change a tire. Now I’m doing full restorations.

Go buy a Fram and buy the direct cross in a brand like Wix or Baldwin. Cut them apart and post up which brand you will be buying in the future. Night and day difference!
I got the table to seperate into columns so it doesn't need decoded. Hope it helps.

Oil Filters
WIX ----- Baldwin ----- Length
51515 ----- B2 --------- 5.197"
51068 ----- B233 -------- 4.338
51085 ----- B34 -------- 3.836
51348 ----- B7491 ------- 3.404
51335 ----- B7221 ------- 2.483
Recently got some baldwin filters even the weight is a little more. Seems more robust!! Just an overall better quality filter. Fleetgard is another brand not really known but is also a very nice alternative!
