It'll have really low compression but it'll run good with a better cam, headers and intake.

I have a 77 440 RV engine in this 87 D150. Runs great ! It’s stock other than a locked Dizzy, 650 Demon carb & Headers. Runs 14.70s

Basically what my 413 is, cam aerohead 452s, eddy rpm intake 750vs and headers.

Depends. If this is a big ol' class A it likely will be a heavy truck engine with the high mount water pump and oddball heads with the water pump mounted to the heads. If it's the smaller stuff like the "van body nose" 1 ton stuff, it will likely be same as a 1/2/ 3/4 T pickup, in other words a toned down "car engine"

Some of them had oddball torqueflites with the yoke on the TF and the slip spline part of the driveshaft

nice pickup early a bob . working on the glass nosed cuda yet ? and on subject , some 413 ind n m/h can get bored big , and had steel cranks n rods were good for a build , low cr , with bigger cc cambered heads it could be a great turbo lower end , these 413's were great torque monsters in trucks rvs ind pumps n gen plants . high nickle blocks like all inds .

No nothing on the 64 Cuda yet. My time is so preasous right now. Working on FURYIOUS still. Got to send the 64 down to Gary’s shop. Talked with him today. Who knows when I’ll get started on it. FURYIOUS is comming a long nicely

Only other issue other than above stated is clean up. Can you just grab the engine and run or do you have to buy the whole damn thing? Cleaning out and sorting an RV for scrap is ALOT of work just for an engine imo not worth it.

I agree with the group- verify it is a good 440 able to be used in a car / pick up. And those old beasts are typically full of mice and who knows what. Not to mention towing cost- again IF you need to take it home before you strip it. Those rear axles are great for a woods truck for going to get wood but the frame mounts are more that standard width.

Get some pictures and post them - lots of 440 experts on here can guide you easily they the process.
Good luck-
Joe

I would hit "agree" thirty times if I could. I know how true this is! Oh please take heed of this man's advice. Old motor homes are a pain in the arse. Further, I would never take another old motor home unless they paid me to haul it away.
