Stop in for a cup of coffee

Start truck. Sweep off snow. Truck is warm,hop in shift into 4wd and head over to connect plow. 5 minutes of fiddling and plow is connected. Sweet!
Hop in truck, shift into reverse, wont move, rear tires spinning. No 4wd.
Actuator smoked. Carefully get it moving and drive to shop. Yup, its dead.
I need 4wd, knock actuator apart, 1/2”nut fits in bore,snug. Threaded rod and nut jams inside old housing...perfect!
Thread back onto diff,crank in a threaded rod and 4wd engages.
Took maybe 20 minutes. With 2 3/4” wrenches i can release 4wd in a minute or so-on the hoist.
Plowing first time,i’m already tired of it. I hate snow!!
