Hello,

I am new to this forum and thought that I would share in case anyone is interested. I am restomodding a 1967 Dart at our new repair and performance shop in Ocean City, Maryland - West O Auto. It is both a personal car of mine and a promotional build to help bring attention to our shop and our capabilities. I know that many here will not agree with my choice, but it is getting a turbo iron block ls (gm) 5.3, mated to a Nissan 30a 5 speed manual gearbox. The build is being completed over a relatively short span, and we hope to get it finished for our open house in the spring. Check it out on our Facebook page @westoautomd and our intagram, @west_o_auto.

Thanks!

Welcome! Good luck with the build (hopefully not too many bloody knuckles) and success with the new shop.

Hey Lenky 1. In another old post you mention running the 292 mopar cam. So how does it run in the street? I am installing one as we speak. Where did you set initial and total timing? Do you like how cam works?

Yeah i do have the 292 508 cam. Its snappy and very fun to drive. As far as the timing goes im not sure id have to dig out the paperwork as my buddy did it for me when i was away at work a few years ago. I will see if i can find it

Can you provide the rest of car specs? Auto trans if so what stall? Can this set up be driver friendly? Not daily driver but drive it to and from work, store or bank etc.

I won't be drag racing just street car. Plan to be a machine. Had a 280/474 mopar cam and 3.55s out back. But feel like need more power. So 292 mopar cam and 3.91's. Also X-heads, strip dominator intake, and 727 with a 9.5" FTI 3400-3600 stall converter.

Mine is a 340 zero decked w 202 and 160 valves. Lightly ported. Air gap intake w Holley 750dp. Block is .30 over w kb glat tops. 4 speed and 4.10 sg

Welcome to the board man. I'm down here in Norfolk, VA. Make sure you check out the LS Swapped Mopar Page on facebook and my build thread. Mine is a twin turbo gen iv 4.8 with a th400. Full hotchkis suspension underneath.

Looking forward to the build man. definitely going to follow. I'm guessing you know Chris A. with the orange duster since you're up around his neck of the woods?

lenky cant you guys have you're own pm conversation about setups instead of hijacking his thread?

I didnt hijack anyones thread. Someone asked i responded. Didnt even pay attention who asked. I thought it was the op
