Ok everyone! I know this has been beat to a pulp. But currently what oil preferably conventional is good enough to run in a 360 with stock clearances? I have been using 30 weight vr-1. But need other sources of oil please!!:)
If no cats, Brad Penn 10W-30, or 5W-30, 0W-30 are all good alternatives.
Really, the priority ought to be the right viscosity for the clearances and the engine termperatures. Then the base stock, and additive packages for the use and spring pressures. If its burning oil, or seeing pressure drop on long highway runs, then try multigrade 40.
