Zinc Rich Oil for Flat Tappet Cams

You can never have enough zinc. 5000 ppm is a good start.
Just my opinion, too much zinc has it's down sides as well. Spring pressure and engine use plays a part, but in a average street engine 1300 -1500 ppm serves just fine. That's about what the oil had back in the day. The rest of todays oils are better - minus the zinc.

Where to Buy ZDDP Oil Additive Performance Solution - ZDDP Plus

add this to any 5 qts of oil you are good to go.....
I've used ZDDP issue free. I added it to 10w-30 QS.

Other options to the OP are 15w-50 full synthetic Mobil racing oil. Sold at Walmarts everywhere. I'm trying this in my '77 ramcharger. Just went on a big vacation in it (went through 9 states and over 3700 miles) and it purrs like a kitten.
