Canadian 1971 Duster 340 4-Speed
Here are a few updates on my project. Car is almost ready for the Out of Province Inspection.
After some research on original cars, I did notice all of the original paint/stripes 71 Duster 340 used the Duster cloud decal on tail panel instead of the common Duster 340 cloud decal.
I did find an original Plymouth trunk emblem. These are smaller than hood one and they have no pins.
Before pic without the Plymouth trunk emblem and the Duster 340 cloud decal.
Plymouth trunk emblem installed,
Duster cloud decal replaced the Duster 340 cloud decal.
Also, we are now abble to get custom liscence plate in Québec, so I did buy the 340 plate.
Scored this NOS B7 Blue center steering wheel horn section.
NOS Sharktooth pigtail, I had repop ones that used the wrong connector.
Complete Rev-N-Nator kit from the R/T Garage.
NOS federal power steering pressure hose. Same as AAR-T/A. Hose on the right is the NAPA reproduction.
Finally found a power steering cooler, these are pretty hard to find ! Almost took 2 years to find. NOS pressure hose and reproduction date-code return hose mounted.
Scored this 2863215 fan from an other 71 Duster 340. I did send the 2863233 fan clutch to Kirkconnell Corvette in Florida for restoration.
