Stop in for a cup of coffee
This squareback had to be done differently since I didn't have crimpers, ring terminals etc with me.
Instead I removed the insulating washers so the brush would ground.
On all of these one brush goes in sideways and the other straight down.
Here's the insulated slip rings. You can see the connection from the outer slip ring to the windings.
The cup on the end is to control grease from the rear bearing. I notice a lot of rebuilds don't have these. :(
