70-76 Demon,Dart sport,Duster Pictorial History

See if you can find any clues to options or optional "packages" that might have included that stripe on the fender tag. I looked at Dante's, Phoenix Graphics and a couple of others. But apparently that particular layout isn't popular or flashy enough to market. However, it may be possible for a good, reputable sign/decal company with pinstriping experience to duplicate and install it for you. But they would need detailed pics & measurements. No idea how much that would cost.

If you don't want to keep it "as produced", there are a lot of optional A-body stripe packages available that you can see on the websites I mentioned. Personally, I always preferred the correct model decals with a car to help minimize confusion. It always bugged me when someone called my Dart Sport a Duster! But that's just me.

Good luck![/QUOTE

Thanks appreciate the help with the vendors. I didnt really want to use stripes other than what "belonged", but wasnt finding the stripes that are on it. As far as people calling it a Duster, that has been going on since I bought it. Morons in high school couldnt read the Demon on the car. I dont think many people even knew the Demon's existed, let alone that Dodge built them. Lord, last fall I had taken the car to the track, on the way home had a mom and her son pull up beside the trailer and ask me who made the car and what was it. So, in reality, even if it had Duster stripes on it, I doubt many people other than our age group would know if it was right or not. Even after reading this thread, I think allot of people still dont know. LMAO I have taken allot of side pictures of the car in case I can find someone that has the skills to do pinstriping. Hopefully can find someone, dont think I want to tackle that myself. I'll let you know what I come up with.

Thanks again.
