Db318 is going to need a couple of shop elfs for a bit. You are most fortunate to come out of that with just some bruising on the back. That just super suks. I am about to need to pull the Hemi out of the Demon (yet again) to do some finish fab work on the firewall. The pucker factor is always tight moving it in or out. Thing is a pig and quite top heavy. I have taken it in and out about a million times during this build. Scares the poop out of me every time.

yeah, I pulled dozens of engines and never had an issue. I always go get brand new bolts when I do. Always grade 8s. I don’t wanna risk my life or limbs or anything else to save 2 bucks lol. Never had one break before. I even fully extend all the legs and such to make the hoists and stands as stable as possible.

When that thing broke, the pendulum effect is what did it in, I was moving the hoist to the right just a bit and when it broke it swung out far and then come back, tipping everything.
