Stop in for a cup of coffee

Many have said the notchback looks like a roadrunner that got left out in the rain and shrunk! I really like the lines on the notch
So I've good taste afterall. cool-gif.gif
It wasn't the hook for me, but its one reason I bit. laugh2-gif.gif
I always liked our 69 Belvidere - there's definately some styling similarities. I was going to have tweety bird cartoon put on the back - just because it seemed to fit - though its one of the most annoying cartoon characters out there - well was 'til you know what..laugh2-gif.gif
you all have ruined me, so I am scruffing around today searching for the elusive 68 charger project car a normal human being can afford and I keep wandering off and looking at 68 barracudas! I have decided I really like the whole notch back thing. Forgive my ignorance but I am not even sure what the difference is. I say notchbck but it dawned on me I don't really know what that means! I am going to have to research the early fish cars. Clearly I have been a E body guy for to long! I just keep looking at all you guys avatars and project cars and think man that is some great lines, why have I never noticed them before. Funny how you can look at something for years and not really see. There is always one or two at the track but they are typically so modified. Thanks a bunch guys, looks like I am going for a new black hole to throw money down!
If you look at the Chrysler lit, they are 'hard top coupes' and special hard top coupes, but notch and fastback is how the rest of the world normally differentiates them.
The car reviewers of the time praised the 'Italian' styling of the mid gen (2nd gen) cars.
if you like a trunk, but want it in the rear not the front - notchback is for you.
If people have never seen one, and only can picture an e-body, I ask them if they can picture a corvair. :)

Downsides: Trunk height is limited - Its not bad, but its hardly tall. Racing - its a little lighter, but not as stiff the fastbacks and the ft/rear weight distribution of the fastbacks is more even.

'67 has some one year only oddities but was the most produced.
