Magnum/727 in a early A body.
So, looking at the drive shaft length chart from above and this diagram...

It looks like the difference in length from an 8.75 and a 7.25 rear end is 2.26". A drive shaft from a 66 valiant with a 904, in front of an 8.75 is 49.58". Looks like the final dimension would then be 51.74.
How critical is drive shaft length. If I get a drive shaft from any of these...

2883758 1972 3.00 51.96 904/230 8-3/4 225 318 340 Dart
which would be the best to use with our 65, 904 in front of a 7.25? I'm hoping the first one will work since I have a 69 Dart /6+7.25 car back 'round the shed'.
I'm asking here without actually measuring it because the new motor isn't in yet and if I need to go hunting for a DS, then I'd like to have it on hand when we install everything.
Any opinions?
