66 Dart owners, what did you do?

Well after taking off all the old washers from the clips I freed the bolts in the slide. I then soaked them in oil over night. My first stop tonight on my way home was at Lowes and unbelievably that had the perfect rubber washer. They came in packs of 2 and they had enough packs to do the entire job! I sprayed the clips good with cleaner and then installed the new rubber washers.
DSCN0965.JPGOnce the washers were on I installed them into the trim and installed the trim back onto the car. The rubber washers were .99 a pack. Cheap fix. I also ran a die down across all the threads and on the bottom side(inside the trunk) i used a washer with the rubber built into it that came from Ace. Then i double nutted with new 10/32 nuts.
Hopefully this will keep any water out if it ever sees rain.
