Stop in for a cup of coffee

I thought I needed to replace the heater hose bracket.
Found my current chrome bracket is for a 67-68 Big Block w/AC. The non-AC only comes in stainless.
With factory chrome valve covers on the Big Block a stainless bracket will look like YUCK!!
What were they thinking??
