head milling?

Found it.... For the heads with a flat teardrop area next to the spark plug: Measure from the head surface to the flat area. This distance on an unmilled head should be .720" +/-.007". (This is from p 111 of my Direct Connection book...I don't see where this is specific to any particular head, so assume it applies to any head with the flat area by the plug.)
I will check that out, that is why I asked, I have never seen that before, and i am concerned about the ports matching up as they are ported heads, the valves set high, they do have stainless steel valves 1.88 and 1.60, and the casting flash in the combustion chambers was cleaned up around the spark plug hole out and around the intake valve
