Painting over brake fluid contaminated fire wall?

My hydraulic clutch master cylinder has leaked down my fire wall, and bubbled the paint is there any way to successfully repaint it. I know this thread should go in a paint forum but i don't see it anymore.

Hello challenger57,

I had the same condition with my master cylinder leaking and running down the firewall leaving a nasty streak and contamination of the lip where the steering column goes through the firewall.
This is how I repaired it.
Note: I removed the engine to rebuild it so mine was a not as hard to do.
Removed steering column, master, and brake lines.
Washed effected surfaces with degreasing solvent.
Sanded all surfaces as best as i could with sand paper.
Cleaned surfaces with Prepsol.
Painted with self etching primer.
Painted with color matched polyurethane automotive paint. 4 to 1 to 1 mix.
This was all done with a airbrush from Harbor Freight. Used 10 psi to run the air brush.
Prep is everything, do a sample not on the car with the airbrush to get get familiar with the spray pattern.

3/4 And 3 Oz Airbrush Kit
DeltronĀ®

Hope this helps.
happy Mopar :)
