Hello Johnny Dart,
Your post does not say where your battery came from, may we ask?

One year warranty for $349. "A fool and his money are soon parted." Lemmie tell yall somethin. Yall know I work for and love me some O'Reilly. I know yall get tired of hearin it but.......If you can fit a group 65 battery in your car, here is a deal. We sell the Motorcraft (I know, Ford LOL) group 65 battery. Here is the thing. This battery comes with a 3 year FREE REPLACEMENT warranty........AND THEN.......it's pro rated for 100 months. ONE HUNDRED MONTHS. That's TEN YEARS worth of warranty. Now it gets even better. IF the battery goes bad during the pro rated period and you pay a discounted pro rated price for a new one, your warranty STARTS OVER AGAIN. If there's a better battery warranty in the business I want to know. 850 CCA. Oh and that battery sells for $156.99 over the counter, PLUS it is NOT maintenance free, so you can add water or electrolyte to it over time. That's uaually why batteries go bad. They dry out.
349 dollars for a one year battery? I would have to question somebody's sanity buying that. I don't give a fig what the battery looks like.

I totally agree RustyRatRod,
As you stated the warranty O'Reilly's sounds cut and dry.
What concern's me with the Turbostart battery is the it only carries a one year warranty, But the terms and conditions are not stated on there site.
Note: as pointed out in post #29 they did update there site to include a 1 year warranty.
This could be troublesome with only a year of coverage if something happens during that time would shipping be covered Both ways?
This could be an expensive to ship it back blind and have Turbostart say its not covered. What happens then?
As you stated "PLUS it is NOT maintenance free" could also be a problem with older cars (old style voltage regulators) because as we know they were not to accurate wile at idle and or full load wile running. This in turn could help with the "They dry out" syndrome.
As an employee of O'Reilly's I am sure that you have a good idea of the amount of batteries sold in your store and the amount of batteries returned as failed (warranty).
When i created post #27 I stated that the manufacture should have the same type of information. In post #29 Turbostart did not provide any information as to there failure rate.
If Turbostart would have stated in there post something like,
"We sell thousands of AGM batteries per year and only have a 2% return / failure rate" this is why we feel a 1 year warranty of material and workmanship is justified I would be more at ease to justify spending $349 for a battery.

I have been using Walmart batteries for years in my cars, trucks, motorcycles, and lawn tractor and have not any bad experiences with there products.
Yes they do eventually go bad.
There batteries have lasted long after the warrenty is gone.
For the price I just buy another one and call it a day.
There cheapest battery @ $48.0 carries an 1 year "Free replacement".
So the Turbostart battery only carries an One year warranty for $349 Makes no sense to me.

As a note in defense of Turbostart I do commend them for replying to the posts on the forum and welcome there replies.
As always IF have misstated anything I do apologize and please correct me.
Also we are comparing Lead acid type to AGM. Lead batteries and more forgiving then AGM so that also should be in consideration when reading the comments and concerns noted in this thread.
If you are looking for a period correct battery and money is no object then here is your battery. Just dont call me in the middle of the night for a jump :).

Happy Mopar :)
