Just getting them to listen is a chore sometimes, let alone them actually following the advice.
Here recently the neighbor asked me something about his car (80's Olds) and he wouldn't even let me finish the sentence without interrupting.
My Wife caught it immediately because when someone asks a question and interrupts as I am answering, I just quit talking and won't continue.
She told the guy "He's trying to tell you something you REALLY need to know, so shut up and listen".:D
It's the same with our computer business.
A customer interrupts while I am trying to answer their question and I don't even finish the sentence, but just let them bla bla bla on and on.
My Dad always told us "You don't learn anything when your mouth is running" and boy oh boy was he right.
